He takes a quick swig from his can and sets it down, crossing his arms. ]

yuugi shakes his head. no drink for him. ]

[ He says it rather thoughtfully, as if it were actually an option.

He ruffles and puffs his cheeks. ]

[ Why did he decide to introduce Yuugi to this game WITHOUT Honda around? At least he'd have a fair match, there. He tries taking smaller drinks of beer so he can make one last. As long as Yuugi doesn't drop a bomb on him, he won't have to chug it. ]

yuugi shrugs his shoulders, frowns, and picks up his can of sapporo to take a drink. he's noticed jonouchi's been sipping his, but if he doesn't have a handicap then there's no way he has any chance of winning. and this isn't exactly a game of skill... it's all about past experiences. ]

He shuffles a little like he's embarrassed and looks away from Yuugi, drinking from his can of sapporo.

He pauses, wondering if he can think of something good without embarrassing himself. ]

[ yuugi smiles, a little pleased with himself, a little pleased that jonouchi's giving him a break, even if he has the curious suspicion that he's just winding up for a real hard-hitter. the strategy in this game comes from trying to get your opponent to drink without giving too much away yourself, which is going to be hard for jonouchi, since he's done so much that he hasn't. most of his childhood was spent in his grandpa's game shop, playing games and trying to put together the millennium puzzle — nothing exciting there. ]

Mm! I don't think it'd go over too well with the other me, either.

Yeah, guess that's true. You kinda have to think of what's best for two people now, don't you? It's like having a kid or a wife, y'know?

[ He waves his hand a little, letting the statement be airy and off-hand. He's glad he didn't end up bogged down with another life in him to carry. It lets him act without boundaries.

He can protect people like Yuugi and Shizuka who are important to him.

He's still trying to think of something good, so while he waits, he taps his fingers on the table. ]

[ his face is uncomfortably hot again, even though he's trying valiantly to smile through the embarrassment. it's true, he never has thought of it that way. they share one body between the two of them, but it's so different from anything he's aware anyone else has ever gone through that he's never thought to relate it to anyone else's experiences.

frankly, he's not sure he wants to if it's going to bring about revelations like this. yuugi rubs his nose, looks down at his beer, and takes a sip. grandpa's taken him to the ocean once or twice when he was younger. ]

[ Yuugi gets embarrassed so easily... well, so does he, but at least when Yuugi gets flustered, it's cute. Being small like a kid, it makes everything he does endearing. And the way he acts towards the other Yuugi, it's not something his best friend would miss.

He watches him drink, a little surprised that it worked, but he supposes Yuugi might have had more time to run around with his grandfather when he was younger. ]

[ jonouchi's not really the type you expect to see playing card games, or board games, or tabletop rpgs. yuugi still counts himself lucky that he was interested in any of the things he is, even putting aside the rather unconventional beginning of their friendship. it's meant they've gotten to spend this much time together.

his expression shifts into something more thoughtful while he thinks back and tries to recall if he's ever gotten top marks. definitely when he was a bit younger, and more worried about pleasing his parents. at least once or twice... enough that he has to take another drink. he watches jonouchi while he brings the can to his mouth, trying to hide an impish smile. ]

When he counts off his suspensions on his hands, he gets steamed up even more. He grabs his can and knocks back the whole thing, partly out of sportsmanship and partly out of being too steamed.

He coughs when he slams it down and wipes his chin. Eugh. He grabs another and cracks it open, crinkling his nose at Yuugi. He points at him as if he's accusing him of something. ]

[ he has to laugh, he can't stop himself. it's an underhanded tactic, but there's no way he can resist if jonouchi is going to give him free answers, and well... he's sure he agrees that it's underhanded. but it's not really against the rules, so... there's nothing saying he can't.

yuugi chuckles when jonouchi makes his next attempt, his eyes darting from between his pointed finger to his flushed face. maybe he shouldn't have drank the whole thing... but it is sort of impressive. ]

Ah! But it was the other me who summoned Exodia! So I win this round too.

Jou flings his top half forward, bending at the middle, grabbing for Yuugi's foot. If he can, he'll drag him over by the ankle and trap his calf in the crook of his armpit and tickling the arch of his foot mercilessly. ]

[ yuugi is laughing before jonouchi even gets his hands on him, which is a debilitating handicap when it comes to throwing off his would-be attacker. anyway, he can't go kidding himself, he's severely disadvantaged in this situation, and he would be even if he weren't already losing it — but he's still completely paralyzed once jonouchi pins him. all his squirming and wiggling doesn't help him at all through his breathless laughter. ]

Jo-Jonouchi-kun! Jonouchi!

[ okay, if they're playing it that way, then he's got one more trick up his sleeve. somehow, he only feels a little bit remorseful as he pushes out of his body. ]

[ well, he'd been in on some fairly peaceful downtime during their game — and now he's squiring embarrassingly on the floor with his ankle trapped in the crook of jonouchi's arm. his cheeks immediately grow hot (hotter than they already were) and he only narrowly avoids kicking jonouchi in the face trying — futilely — to excise himself. even he has the same handicaps as yuugi when it comes to the subject of physiology.
